5/15/98 9:27am est Atlantic Pharmaceuticals ATLC and eye care giant Bausch and Lomb announce a world wide exclusive licensing deal for ATLC's sub Optex's patented cataract surgery technology. The new technique may dramatically shorten recovery time and reduce complications according to the release. ATLC was halted- last low 7s-gapping biz.yahoo.com Genomic company Genelogic GLGC announces that Smithkline Beechem agrees to to license its Object Protocol Model (OPM)-based bioinformatics system and software tools. GENE LOGIC and SB will also collaborate to use OPM to develop a series of customized databases and servers to integrate a wide range of public and proprietary genomic and biological data sources into SB's data mining process. This deal comes on the heels of PKN's announcement of a new genome mapping technology. GLGC -a december ipo has deals with Proctor and Gamble, Organon and now SB. Trading near 8- worth watching.
