according to the 10-k, safeskin has two manufacturing facilities in ipoh and a latex concentrate plant in seremban, both in malaysia, which although connected to indonesia are miles and a java sea away from jakarta. while i'm not the king of current events (or geography), i believe most of the looting you refer to is located there.

it may be prudent to note that given the tax-free status sfsk will enjoy in thailand through 2003 and a reduced tax rate through 2007 (i believe similar status in malaysia expires in oct of this year), they have begun moving their malaysian ops and building new facilities to collocate with existing production in thailand.

finally, as you may be aware, sfsk actually benefits from devaluations in the baht and ringgit. at the risk of sounding arrogantly xenophobic, at the current rate of inflation in southeast asia, one could probably go on holiday, buy an estate, and leave it behind for a family of four.

hope this helps.
