International FiberCom

Raises EPS Estimates and Price Targets

PHOENIX--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 15, 1998--International FiberCom Inc.
(NASDAQ: IFCI;
Boston Stock Exchange: IFC) Friday announced that New York based Kaufman
Brothers, L.P. has
reiterated its ''BUY/BUY'' recommendation on IFCI.

Kaufman Brothers also revised upward its 1999 EPS estimate to $.66 (from $.53) and
its 2000
EPS estimate to $1.04 (from $.80). Kaufman's short-term (3-6 month) price target was
raised to
$11 (from $9) and the long-term (12 - 18 months) price target was raised to $17 (from
$14).

Kaufman analyst Vik Grover commented, ''We continue to hold that IFCI is well
positioned to
become a substantially larger company during the next few years as a result of strong
demand for
new construction and maintenance services, aided by steady consolidation of a
fragmented space.''

International FiberCom specializes in the design, installation and maintenance of
fiber-optic and other
cable services for the telecommunications and cable industries.

Its wholly-owned subsidiary, Concepts In Communications, provides systems
integration services
including design, engineering, installation and maintenance of structured cable systems,
network
hardware and software, workstation peripherals and intercommunications systems.

Concepts maintains value added reseller and/or partner agreements with Lucent
Technologies,
