I think you have misunderstood what I was referring to.
NCTI was holding as investment stock, 3 million dollars worth of Verity stock (as an asset on NCTI balance sheet). On April 8, 1998 NCTI began selling the stock. The proceeds of the sale will show up on the 2nd qtr's (1998) Profit and Loss as extra ordinary income.

I agree, it is NOT operation income and I consider it nothing more than a financial band-aid.
