Brian,

My response to continually escalating cable rates was to cancel my cable contract and install Primestar. More channels, lower cost, and better picture quality.

Regards, JB

Excellent point Brian. Let's see how that looks with those goons from DC in charge of PC operating systems. Let's change the date, and call the agency FPCOSC:

FPCOSC Chief Declines To Curb OS Prices Kennard to Await Deregulation in March
By Paul Farhi
Washington Post Staff Writer

Consumers looking for relief from rising PC OS prices won't be getting it any time soon from federal regulators.

Though he declared earlier this year that "PC OS prices are rising too fast," the head of the Federal PC Operating Systems Commission said yesterday that his agency won't step in to freeze or roll back PC OS prices before a congressionally ordered deregulation of PC OS prices kicks in next March.

FPCOSC Chairman William E. Kennard says his agency will continue to study the problem, with an eye toward influencing debate in Congress. PC OS prices have been rising at more than five times the rate of inflation.

Sounds great huh? Put those monkeys in DC back in their cages.
