Lisa, re:trin for NASDAQ

Many of the indices for NASDAQ are simply augmented with a "Q".

For example:
$TRINQ = NASDAQ Short Term Trading
$TRANQ = NASDAQ Transport
$UTILQ = NASDAQ Utilities

Hope this helps.

Lisa, Rick sez..

I use the formula and enter the [advances/declines] / [up vol/down vol] on my spreadsheet. I don't know if there is a stock symbol. The one that was mentioned on SI after your post : $trinq - I tried it on Datek and yahoo and icq and it didn't work. I have also found a difference between the numbers I get for the NYSE TRIN and the one shown on Yahoo, which does have a symbol, but not for Nasdaq. I usually double check the numbers from IBD, market page when I do my spreadsheet. Rick
