I found someone keep posting that Bay would go to teen level.

I don't think so, even without these acquisition rumors, bay still
will be hold above $20. I think probably we will not see $22.5 again.

Bay & Ericsson -

I notice from the attached press release from Ericsson that Ericsson lost one of their suppliers when LU purchased Yurie. If Bay is purchased by another telecommunications company, they lose another major supplier.

ERICSSON TO PROVIDE TURNKEY SOLUTION FOR SPLITROCK SERVICES

Date: May 04, 1998

Ericsson Inc. Network Solutions Division has signed a contract for a
turnkey project with Splitrock Services, Inc. to expand their
national ATM network. This contract is for the first phase of a
multi-phase project that will create the world's largest ATM based
multi-service network for Internet and other telecommunications
services. The network solution provided by Ericsson comprises
packaged points of presence (PoPs), turnkey project management and
multi-vendor systems integration. Equipment components of the PoP
nodes are provided by Ericsson, Yurie Systems, Bay Networks and
GFRC.

The systems integrator role complements Ericsson's renowned turnkey
project management capabilities. Ericsson's overall strategy for
network solutions is to offer open and flexible Telecom "Carrier
Class" solutions for datacom and IP networks that are based on
integrating world-class components provided by a combination of
in-house development and co-operation with best-in-class suppliers.

"The unique turnkey support provided by Ericsson will enable us to
reduce our costs, improve our performance and provide an
infrastructure for additional services while reducing our time to
market," said Bill Wilson, President, Splitrock Services, Inc.

"The Splitrock project is an excellent example of how our strategy
to integrate best-in-class products from different vendors to
provide a solution on a turnkey basis can be used to enhance our
offering towards internet service providers and network operators,"
says Gary Pinkham, Vice-President Business Development and Data
Networking Solutions for Ericsson Inc.

Splitrock Services, Inc., founded in 1997, is based in The
Woodlands, Texas. Splitrock is a 'Carrier's Carrier' providing
network services on a wholesale basis to Internet Service Providers.
By the end of the network build, Splitrock will have an end-to-end
ATM-based network. Splitrock's network will have points of presence
in all 50 states and will enable 85 percent of the nation's
population to access their network with a local call.

Ericsson's 100,000 employees are active in more than 130 countries.
Their combined expertise in fixed and mobile networks, mobile phones
and infocom systems makes Ericsson a world-leading supplier in
