Lucretious,

I disagree with you. From what I can surmise based on DELL's product line over the past 1.5 years is that they are building up their Server and Workstation lines. The last earning report mentioned literally nothing about how their server business was doing. They were bundling NT Server Small Bus. Edition with that server. That must have been one popular system and package since the 2200 stayed in existence for close to 1 year. Since they didn't mention anything about it I think that is one of their aces they are holding back. I bet they will mention the status of their server and workstation business more this report. Any takers on bets?? On the workstation side, I think that is chancy, but the package is well worth it. In the graphic arts industry where the word "workstation" is truly used properly, their workstation line fits well. An example, since Quark is using Windows NT as the reference platform for all future version of Quark, I see that as a plus for workstations. Does it impact DELL. I think so, but cannot quantify anything yet. The seeds are being planted though when home and office PC's get cheaper.

>>DELL needs to get into the sub 1000 mkt IMO

I agree just on the sole fact that Steve Jobs believes the "cheap" computers is important. I heard somewhere that Dell will introduce a "cheap" computer later this year. Perhaps, i mis heard.

I think people who say the MM made DELL close at $90 are foolish. No one can manipulate a stock that trades nearly 32 million shares in one day.
