If you watched the tape today, you more often than not saw a flood of "small" orders (1K or less) every time it ticked down to a new intra-day low. Almost invariably a 25K or 50K block would fly by at the ask or above in the middle of all that panic. All this indicates to me is that the weak hands were folding and the strong were picking up the pieces. Couple this with the options expiration influence and I believe you've got an "artificially depressed" price right now. I'm not saying whether Dell SHOULD or SHOULD NOT be AT this price, only that the downdraft from 98 was somewhat artificially influenced by MM manipulation and options expiry. Didn't hurt that they had all this uncertainty over Indonesia and interest rates to play off of. Monday and Tuesday will see all of this erased, with a close over 100 on Wednesday seeming to be a virtual certainty, IN MY OPINION.
