Wiz...well, that Monica Lewinski rumor could cause me to sell...<g>
But, I suspect Wilf has been able to assess the competition, and company prospects. If 23 is good for him...23 is good for The Wizard..and TSO

Shane,

Of all of those "worrysome" items you listed, the one that I'm starting to feel the best about are the GSM and CDMA chips. If the recent news about a universal set of chips from LSI comes to fruition, LSI will be swimming in it. I really thought I was talking "pie in the sky" with a universal wireless chipset, since this is the first time I've even seen any manufacturer even HINT at the possibility, much less show off the chips to stockholders...

Assuming the "universals" would have the functionality that previous news announcements have detailed regarding LSI wireless chips, LSI could sell these bad boys to anyone and everyone, and vendors could finally create a phone that could go anywhere in the world without needing a satellite hookup(you would probably start seeing new roaming agreements between vendors pop up like weeds in springtime). I'm really surprised that this hasn't gotten more publicity. It's a very enabling technology, assuming it works right.
