oexwa,
I have never liked the cow thing, its great for ice cream and milk products to present a country immage but techies are more aligned with silicon valley than the sticks. What do farmers know about high tech? Give me two teenagers in a garage, now that's high tech.

Marketing is just that -- marketing is not GTWs fundamental problem. We are riding the crest of a wave of very heavy capital investment in computer equipment that msut sag at some point -- beyond this prices are falling more dramatically than in the past. Very soon all consumer PC's will be substantially below $1000.

New environment -- more competition, less margin, more volumes. PCs are becoming a true commodity. DELL and CPQ cannot both continue to shine in this market.

GTW will always be associated with the SOHO market. They do not now and will not have time to break substantially into the commercial market (I know they are big in government contracts -- they'll probably stay successful there for a little while). They are simply too late to get to the commercial sector and have too poor quality machines.

My opinion, FWIW.
