The spate of news releases out this week were not really news, nothing I read this week, wasn't already known about Viagra and sheds no new light on PFE's outlook. However, a week has passed, and another 200,000+ scripts have been filled, and PFE is a richer company, yet the market cap get's hit. I think those releases were just orchestrated efforts to drive the stock price down. How much do you wanna bet, that politics govern's what articles are released to the public in any given block of time? See how many open call option contracts were left outstanding by today's close? This is going to be one happy weekend for those call writers, unfortunate for the May call buyers. But if it weren't for what I think is option related weakness/volatility, real investor's would get far less opportunities to accumulate shares of PFE at artificially low prices. Monday should verify my speculation.
