Steven, Siebel and my company signed normal confidentiality disclosures. Since this type of disclosure is like every other disclosure signed for software like this, I don't understand your disbelief. Perhaps you could indicate your news source.

Your questions:

How is it going? My group has over 500 users in production for over a year now.

Are you satisfied? I have been very satisfied with the quality and scalability of the product. The Siebel product is one piece of our overall sales systems package. It is the by far the most trouble-free application (other than browser-based apps) in the package. You didn't ask, but Xcellenet is by far the poorest.

Is it going to schedule? It's done.

Production users? See above.

Why SEBL? At the time, it was the only package that met both the user and tech specs. Given that SEBL had very few production users at the time, however, it was a risky choice. Good thing we didn't pick Scopus ;)

technical bakeoff. At the time Siebel was chosen, the market was even less mature than it is now. The technical architecture was evaluated and deemed acceptable.

Thanks for the offer of a phone call, but I'll pass.
