I agree. I moved nearly all of my holdings today into a money market account. This market is just too irrational and something's got to break. Companies with great earnings and low PEs are dropping (NMGC) or simply treading water (AIRM and SIRN) even after earnings that exceeded expectations. Companies with no earnings have skyrocketed on pure speculation and little else (XYBR and KTEL).

We need a correction to bring things back to reality. At this point, making money in the market is a crap shoot. The market is being overrun with speculators looking for quick riches rather than investors making informed decisions. As a result, it's impossible to make rational investment decisions because traditional rules aren't working any more.

I'm not a gambler, I'm an investor (and a very good one at that). At most during the coming weeks I will only be making short term plays with small portions of my total holdings. Otherwise, until rationality returns, I'm out.

See you 'round the bend.
