NEW YORK, May 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Chromatics Color Sciences International, Inc. (Nasdaq: CCSI - news) today announced its financial results for the first quarter ended March 31, 1998. Revenues for the quarter were $120,900, representing a $62,200 increase over revenues reported in the comparable period in 1997. The Company incurred a net loss of $1,770,800, or ($0.12) per share, compared with $1,043,400, or ($0.10) per share reported in the first quarter last year. Loss per share for 1998 reflects, and loss per share for 1997 was restated to reflect, the Company's 1998 three-for-two stock split which occurred earlier in the first quarter of 1998. Year-over-year loss per share increased by $0.02 due to the favorable increase in the amount of weighted average shares outstanding, as the Company reported an increase of 3,392,531 shares.

Somethings not right with that last sentence. Number of shares going up reduces the loss per share.
