Jay

You forget to append at least a small <g> to your post.

Unless you were suggesting a novel way to de-motivate
current and prospective employees in one fell swoop.

Human capital isn't a line item on the asset list,
because it goes home, every day.

Incentives like stock options convert employees
stakeholders to shareholders, and shareholders
seldom jump ship.

Goodbye Francis

Regards to ALL

Jay, >>>The company has not delivered over the last few quarters - I fail to see why anyone should be rewarded with stock options. If anyone wants to quit -let them go, I say. <<<

These are knowledge workers. They are different than you an me. They think with their heads (brain) rather than with their glands (emotions). They are indeed an asset that grows over time and does not show up on the balance sheet in a direct way.

But, Investor Relations? You may have something there. This is where they may have over done the stock option thing when they haven't contributed commensurately over time.
