ole 49r, I think that is why politics is called bloodsport. Ron Brown's plane crash into a mountain was a copycat from Nixon's presidency. During the Watergate investigation, a commercial jet crashed after being rerouted from Chicago's O'hara airport to a smaller airfield Midway. They landed in an apartment complex short of the airstrip. When the emergency crews arrived they were met by over 50 government agents who impeded their progress to help the survivors. The pilot's blood was analysed and had a world record level of cyanide found. The list of casualties included Dorothy Hunt (wife of Howard Hunt who was one of the Watergate burglar's). It seems some hush money was in her possession on the flight. Shortly after the crash, the heads of the FAA and Department of Transportation were canned and new Nixon appointees were named. Why a commercial airliner would mistake an airport with an apartment complex in overcast conditions would most likely be due to a misdirected beacon from Midway air traffic control. Sound familiar. It also explains why none of the flight crew survived the crash. I have long ago lost my innocence when it comes to politics. ole 49er - who else's deaths can we attribute ot BC - people killed on Federal Highways perhaps. air traffic control mishaps, this sort of paranoia knows absolutely no bounds. I guess Bush was directly responsible for numerous deaths too? And, as for Reagan! If the man in the Oval Office knew what he could be held accountable for he would never sleep - not for a minute?
