THE RAPE OF THE MIND Mother of us all, The human Mind, How can we stand aside, And witness your ignorant children destroying themselves? Is the beginning of the end? It is the most heinous of crimes, The deadliest of sins, The greatest violation of all time, The replacement of thought with knee-jerk emotionalism! Mother Mind, Must we be witness, To the self-immolation of the human spirit? You've seen the Mind denied, You've heard the snickers of apelike buffoons, You know the sun shines, But enlightens them not. Mother of us all -- the Mind, Place of our awareness, We all are witness, To the rape of the Mind. Some have crowned Rationality, With concrete and steel leaping from imaginations, But there is no glory, nor honor, In what results, From the vomit that spews from legions of the ignorant! Mother Mind has been poisoned and beaten up, From the Halls of Congress, To the Ivory Towers of universities. Mother of us all, Place of our awareness, How can we stand aside, And watch the meltdown of the Mind? If you look you'll see it with your own eyes, If you listen you will hear her cries, If you care you will stand and testify, And stop the rape of the Mind!
