freeus, re Y2K problem IMO, yes, there will be a problem. However, it will be an opportunity as well. Those corporations who are not prepared will struggle and may never recover. Those who are prepared will reap the benefits. In that light, I'd recommend formally asking the management of each company you own how well they are positioned. If they aren't prepared, are evasive, or give you an otherwise unsatisfactory answer, would recommend you look for a good opportunity to eliminate that stock from your portfolio. JMHO, 3
