Bobby Y.You Are NOT A Gloom And Doomer.IMO.A Realist Maybe?

It is amazing how this thread attracts the occasional " hit and run "
artist.Very amusing,as they seldom return to actually discuss their
" off the cuff " remarks and shallow observations.I will however have
to concede that gold has not responded to these events as it has in
the past. These are interesting times, and in previous global situations
Gold would have been skyrocketing by now.

One must elevate to a new paradigm that either gold has in-fact lost
its status as a " flight to quality " or " flight to safety ",or that
gold has become so well controlled that certain entities would prefer
you believe this is the case.I don't know which to believe right at
this time, but " feel " this will not last in the long run.

I saw a market watcher on CNBC(the longest running infomercial on the
tube?)the other day.He stepped right out there and sited low gold and
silver prices as an indicator of low inflation. The host was all smiles
and nodded with approval as if he had read his lines perfectly.Too
funny,if it weren't so discusting.I have read AG keeps an eye on the
POG as an indicator of inflation, yet I have read others decry that the
average person(in America) does not follow the POG.Would the American
folks here concur with this?I would have thought those who follow the
markets would surely observe gold as a contrary indicator, and since
everyone and their dog is " into " the market these days,1+1 would=2?

Anywho,it all seems so abnormal, that I have come to the point of
thinking only the CB/ECB intention to be announced soon will clear the
way for equilibrium or a return to historic average for the POG,which
I believe to be in the high three hundred dollar range. We can only sit
tight and observe at this point and respond to the Naysayers with the
politeness you display here Bobby and most others.Let's hope this
information comes sooner than later,eh?

FWIW, Indonesdia is the seventh largest gold producer, behind South Africa, the U.S, Australia, Canada, Russia and China, in that order.
