WRONG! That's what gets companies in deep chit with the exchanges IMHO. Trust me. I once made the front page of the Financial Post with a comment I made on SI:-)

I believe he's only in trouble with the SEC if he traded using that information before it became public knowledge.


Just leaking may be dumb ... and may cause loss of employment or civil lawsuit or other unpleasantness ... but it's only insider trading if you trade on it.
