Hi Christine, Skystation, if it is built will be more for communications within major cities, while the low Earth orbit schemes will be more for global communications. Iridium is supposed to launch the last of it's satelites Sunday, with it's system operable in September. Some analysts are questioning whether revenues will be great enough to offset the cost of the system, plus make a profit. Globalstar has been pushing it's start date back. It will be interesting. We are almost at the Dick Tracy stage where we will be able to communicate instantly from a ship at sea to the middle of the rain forest, person to person.

If the itkg antenna does what it says, it will make very small communication devices possible, but I am not yet convinced. Qualcomm should do alright with all of the systems. I owned it about 4 years ago. but sold it after a few months of no movement. :-(
