The media is certainly painting a black picture of Indonesia at the moment..no argument there. Very disappointing to see this especially since conditions seemed to spiral downward right after the positive news concerning IMF funding came out recently. I guess the fuel increase was the final straw that brought the general population out to support the rowdy university students.

In the end lets hope some positive changes occur in the country politically so the lives that were and are being lost are not in vain.

As for Ojolali, if Suharto digs in his heels and civil war breaks out, then I don't think anyone knows for sure what will happen, however if Suharto steps down I can see a new Indonesia emerging which may be better for all. A couple of days ago I read that many Indo stocks are expected to rise significantly is he goes....maybe ANZ will too.

Regards,
Wayne
