Could not agree more with that last post,
I saw the interview with the ceo on CNBC,
what a piece of crap. Just a laptop with
a different shape, and much less convenient.
Maybe Sony thinks the Japanese with buy this
thing, but even the Japanese don't buy every
electronic gadget that comes along.

I thought it spoke volumes that the pres or
ceo or whatever he was did not have a heads
up display with him to show.

I can imagine sitting on a park bench doing
your work, talking to your computer, and
reading out of the heads up display helmet.
Then a thief comes along a bops you on the head.

I do like the idea of doing all the things
that this device promises over the phone or
a cell phone. Too bad I sold that GMGC.

PX,
What do you know about the validity of this benchmark? Used a PII 400 yet?

"On average, the 400-MHz Pentium II systems we tested run PC WorldBench 98, our business application benchmark, 21 percent faster than the Pentium II-333s. Got your interest now? "

cnn.com

Also, from a previous post of yours---https://www.siliconinvestor.com/readmsg.aspx?msgid=4483795 400 MHz 2MB $4,489
400 MHz 1MB $2,836
400-MHz 512K $1,124

$1600.00/MB !!! ---Who has an alternative to that. There has got to be an investment opportunity in there somewhere.

Thanks,

Yogi
