Welcome to all, both long-time citizens and recent immigrants. Yee Haa, we're back in action. Feels like the old days all over again. It's twice as sweet the second time around. You are now a part of the greatest discussion thread in Internet history!

[HEALTHCARE] UK NHS: Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

'...
Is it possible to supply me with a list of GP systems that are Year 2000 compliant
or suppliers who have stated that they will be compliant, in order to advise our
practices.
Not at present. The Year 2000 Team is, however, discussing how this could
be done with most of the leading GP system suppliers. This is being done
through the Primary Care group of the Computing Services and Software
Association: the trade association representing suppliers of IT equipment
and services to the NHS.

This process may take some time, especially as many of the suppliers may
not themselves be too sure of their degree of conformance. We are at the
moment trying to persuade companies to release information on how they
have tested for Year 2000 conformance and the results of such testing.

This will allow us to check their claims and issue guidance to users.

Please note that Year 2000 is covered in RFA 4. See RFA General
Requirements section 6.4 for details.

Very helpful. I've been following closely for a month, read it all, followed the threads, and wish you had posted this 4 weeks ago! Just tripled my small position in TAVA on the basis of the Vcall look at the strong mgmt team, and certainty that their website will make a major contribution to the revenue stream. Got to get it up, though: we won't see 17-20 until they are a real player on the web. Thanks again, Michael
