Johnny boy,

HP hasn't reported any problems when K5 was on their lineup. If customers are only willing to pay certain price range and HP does not have the goods, it is either go buy parts (K6) to lower overall cost or cut prices. HP chose the latter option and we heard the result last week.

Has HP ever made money selling PC's? They can't compete
with DELL and the other screwdriver shops. The processors
they use has nothing to do with it. They sell no margin PCs
as part of a package so they can sell the high margin servers.
