I guess I meant by good vision: the insight to see a need for something in the future and the planning for it. A good product does not imply a good vision. For instance if I spent half a zillion dollars to discover a cure for disease A and then find that only 10 people in the world have disease A I have a good product but no market. Or if I know what I want and then bring it to market 36 months after the competition has invented a better mouse-trap, again I have a good product but not a good plan. Yes I agree options or something like big bonuses are a great way to motivate a sales force. We'll have to see if Inprise needs to do this. My feeling is they have the goods to make the sale and I think (right now) they have the sales force to do so. They need the support and consutling staff and my guess is they are lacking here.
