Sue The message from Dwight on retirement accounts is what is going to create another 29. I know, "It can't happen - we have a different economy - there are safeguards etc." Well I never saw a bubble that wouldn't bust and for the last few years there has been a fund craze borne by greed that will cause the crash of our monetary system as it did once before. When it triggers there will be no market.

Unless a person is entirely debt free including his house, he has no business investing in risky stocks. When the market drops it takes the good the bad and it's ugly. I am 74 and lived thru the great depression.

When stocks with a PE under 10 drop like a rock and stocks with a pe of thousands like the internet stocks there is no way to beat the market by sensible investing. I am 40% cash now holding only growth companies under 10 bucks. I hope to be out all together by fall.
