Off Topic Conditions were fine, except we have US Open rough. All the rain prior to this weekend. Howsoever. Evidently the word went out and a old friend who was an Assistant Pro once showed up to caddy for me. Showed me how to get out of that impossible rough....another guy helped me off the tee....evidently I was "dropping" the club....and the ex-assistant helped reading the putts to the extent that I had only one 3-putt and a total of 31 putts altogether. Net result? Improved 25 strokes over yesterday. NOW you know how bad yesterday was. 2 other assistants have volunteered to play rounds with me during the week, they are very good as they both came close to qualifying for the US Open last year. So I intend not to look a gift round in the mouth; one day this week I shall not be trading.
