Tired Market? Educated opinions wanted.

Something about this market just seems tired and all these mega-mergers just seem like the fireworks at midnight. I don't usually give the perennial bears much heed, but I'm agreeing with some of the things they are saying. I dug up this tidbit while trying to confirm or deny my gut feelings:

Although I haven't started shorting yet, I'm starting on a list of candidates. I'll have my revenge on MANU yet! ;)

I'm wrong 99 times out of 100 about these things, but I have a scary feeling that the easy ride up is about to end. If this is the top, it looks like Joe Kennedy was right all those years ago. Everybody and their grandmothers are in this market.

Here's a related question: If I short a company that goes bust and gets delisted, do I get to keep ALL the money?
