Doc,

You amuse and intrigue me. You are obviously learned and wise. I don't mean that in a patronizing sense. I honestly mean that. You see things differently and that is all well and good. However, it seems as if you are more meddlesome rather than helpful. You talk on TAVA and here as an expert (more on TAVA than here, but you know what I mean), yet you are not invested in either stock (although you were once a strong proponent of TAVA). And I don't think you're shorting the stocks, either, but I don't know or care.

What intrigues me is that you show up to provide paternal advice to us cretins so that perhaps we would be better investors. Well, we've all gotten rather emotional about this battle with the shorts. They've thrown the first grenade and rightly or wrongly, we've tossed back a missile. The whole thing kind of reminds me of Braveheart. The evil empire will fall. We have looked at what we surmised to be facts and have made our bets.

Although learned medical people such as yourself and bradpalm show up to provide your insights into the company and the "chromogenic diseases", your voices are not heard. Bradpalm--primarily because he is not sensible in his attacks. He may be brilliant or he may be full of fecal material, but he ain't coming across as intelligent. Rather, he is communicating ill-will. You sound reasonable, yet you have no stake in this battle. You're merely Switzerland. You're not involved.

We haven't willy nilly invested blindly into this company. We've all made serious DD into CCSI and made our decision to believe in the product and the company. Whether there is a class of "chromogenic" disease or not is not really of any significance to any of us. I bet not many people believed in antiangiogenesis as a way to combat malignant disease until the recent works by Dr. Judah Folkman were brought into the public's eyes. In fact, I would venture to guess that his concept was ridiculed in the early days. So, my comment to you and bradpalm about your unrelent attacks on the company's use of this terminology is "lay off". Who cares and what difference does it really make!!!??? The truth in that statement is unimportant. The company merely made use of a terminology to describe a "series" of diseases that they decided to group together. I don't care if it is the official sanctioned terminology. No one here cares! Not because we're blind, but because it just doesn't matter. It's like saying Michael Jordan is a great basketball player, but he really doesn't have a great shooting form. WHO CARES! It's really trivial in light of the other information.

At the recent Pediatric Research Conference held in New Orleans, CCSI's data on noninvasive measurement of bilirubin in infants were presented and the product was exhibited. CCSI was a supreme success among an audience of pediatricians and neonatologists. I work with infants and children, but I am neither a pediatrician nor a neonatologist. My own belief is that this product is going to be wonderfully received. The response from the pediatric and neonatal community so far seems to affirm my belief.

You have stated that Dr. Maisels is a reputable and renowned pediatrician in your community. In fact, he is one of the world's expert regarding the subject of hyperbilirubinemia. I would bet that his decision to join forces with CCSI was not made lightly. After all, his national and international reputation could potentially be ruined if he made a "stupid" decision to join a "scam" company.

Enough rambling. The loyalists have circled the wagon. Rightly or wrongly, we have enjoined in this battle based on our initial intensive DD and now on emotions in addition to continued DD. Life and the market is nothing but a bet. We have placed ours. You're welcome to join either forces. The truth will unfold soon enough.
