Ross, I agree. If what "the source" said was true, then Bill Gates did right to tell Joel Klein to go screw himself. To repeat: "A person familiar with the negotiations said the Justice Department and states wanted the Redmond, Wash., software giant to hide the screen that customers use to access Windows, called its interface; hide ways that consumers could use Microsoft's Internet Explorer browser, included in Windows, to view information on the Web; and include a copy of Navigator, the browser of arch-rival Netscape Communications Corp., with every version of Windows sold. Microsoft, which agreed negotiations were at an impasse, accused the government of making "unreasonable demands." ----------- Incredible. The DOJ actually wants MSFT to buy a copies of Netscape Navigator and give it to PC mfrs to install on every computer sold. I knew it all along: Joel Klein is simply an old bitter Mac fan, seeking revenge.
