Larry, Lawrence*OT*

<<Lawrence Kam, why do you use such big words that the rest of us can't understand>>

Come on Larry, Lawrence can't help it. Ever notice his email address? You learn pretentious talk through osmosis at Harvard. Take for instance the poor old dirt farmer from Arkansas who managed to work hard enough to let his youngest son go to school. His son in turn excelled and ended up on full scholarship at Harvard. When graduation day approached the old man put on his best Sunday suit and scraped together the cash to fly to Logan. Getting out of the taxi at the Yard he approached a distinguished looking fellow in a tweed jacket who was leaning against a tree and smoking a pipe while reading Whitman. The farmer said "Scuse me sir, but could y'all tell me where the student union is at?" The prof type sneered down his nose at the farmer and said "Sir...this is Harvard University, we do not end sentences with prepositions at Harvard University" in his best sneering inflection. The old farmer caught himself up, raised a hand to stall a moment, then restated "Sir, could y'all tell me where the student union is at...asshole"

See, even a farmer learns pretentions at Harvard. :) :)

best,
Stitch

Larry,
I am afraid all the "heavy hitters" on this thread have missed the point.
Disintermediation is nothing more than the removal of obstacles between end user and manufacturer (or provider of services/intellectual property). It is the elimination of all possible non value added steps in a distribution system of any kind.
Think of disintermediation as "e-commerce" in all its forms.
You might also think of it as the driving force in productivity gains now and for the foreseeable future.

BWDIK, I went to school on the other side of the Charles River,
