JFD ---Thanks for the information ---This is the first tidbit form the supplier side that CPQ is finally implementing a BTO system . I have seen it form the retail side wear CIRCUIT CITY has a PC setup for you to configure your own PC for ordering from CPQ . CPQ can do what ever management is willing to implement and follow through with . TO me it is a matter of survival if CPQ wants to be a top tier company ---growth for the future will not come easy unless they are creative ( BTO - a la DELL ) and willing to make the tough decisions ( which DEC'S PALMER did not do ) BEST WISHES BILL
