It appears that Microsoft Windows 98 release will be delayed indefinitely (http://www.infoworld.com/) according to the news release today (Saturday).

WRONG! Negotiations broke down. Microsoft will release Windows 98. Federal and State Governments will file suits to force Microsoft to change business practices. But a Federal judge has already ruled that the restraining order of last year does not apply to Windows 98. MICROSOFT WILL SHIP Windows 98 to OEMs on Monday and begin retail sales on June 25. The only result of this will be to spend millions of Federal and state tax dollars to try to convince some jury that the government ought to decide what developers should or should not develop. Their isn't a jury in the world that will buy that!
