CYBERKEN: My threadpal,ParkTwain, from the Yahoo message board, asked me to pass this list of TAVA competitors along to you (or anyone else for that matter). The list can be found on the Yahoo message board at post 2086. Just a word about the future of TAVA. In many instances, the naysayers are debating objective with subjective analysis. A case in point, earnings & the CD debate. Look at the two estimates for '99 earnings for TAVA....37 and 1.25. It's obvious that nobody has a clear picture of earnings, near term or otherwise...and while you can guess about the volume of CD sales, nobody really knows what they will be. If anyone on this board can forecast pricing, sales volume & expenses (or any number of other unknown or unexpected factors) with any degree of exactitude, please step to the front of the class. As some of you have correctly pointed out, the Y2k remediation business is secret by its very nature. Put simply, there are too many things we don't know, to make an accurate negative assessment of TAVA. Then, you may reasonably ask, by the same token, how can you make an accurate affirmative assessment of TAVA? Fair question: You can't. HOWEVER, you can very safely draw certain conclusions from what you DO know. You DO know that there is a large & distinguished corporate client base. You DO know that there are imperative remediation demands, near term & going forward. You DO know that TAVA is technologically positioned to meet these demands. You DO know that TAVA has a very aware & competent management team in place. You do know that TAVA has entered into certain alliances that will eventually result in a number of additional clients. You DO know that TAVA has recently brought some highly respected individuals on board to assist in their Y2k efforts. You DO know that TAVA's story is getting out there, slowly, but surely. You DO know that TAVA now has NMS and you DO know that Y2k will carry well past the year 2000. These points do not even include assorted other technological strengths that have been consistently documented by other well- informed and technically oriented contributors to this thread. I think another key element of TAVA's attractiveness to the investor hasn't even been discussed. TAVA has a high degree of pent up earnings & revenue demand. Whenever you have a big announcement or project that's delayed, for whatever reason, when it does come to fruition, the stock explodes. THQI is a classic example. Some of its game software titles were delayed and delayed. The stock went nowhere. Then it started to release those hugely anticipated titles, and the price exploded. All during the waiting period, there were a number of posts that continually predicted the demise of the company. Many people were scared off of a great investment. I do agree with even the shorts, when they say TAVA will have to 'put up or shut up' pretty soon. I feel strongly that they will.
