I heard a few Gates jokes..the latest..is when Gates,Clinton and Gore died..and had their hearing before the great unknown..Clinton presented his case and the great unknown said..you may sit on my right..Gore presented his case and the great unknown said you may sit on my left..then it was Gates turn..the first thing Gates said was first,please get out of my chair didn't know that about Dec...thought Gates got so powerful because his mother got him contract with IBM to write operating system and then in IBM's pompous fashion..thinking that mainframes were it.. (ala paperbacks versus hardbacks)..IBM let Microsoft have the operating system.. as you implied built in obsolence suggests that the country needs Microsoft and all the other great tech companies in this country to keep those global revenues flowing...why shoot the golden hen.. Although I am not a fan of Gates..I think his push for the internet has created so very many entrepeneur millionaires and so very many jobs in this latest recovery...great jobs..now great pay for lawyers.. ps..headlines in Times..voter's angry over HMO plays.. looks like unraveling has begun.,..
