Mark I no longer can or desire to attend church. If I were to attend it would definitely be Unitarian. Yes my posts here are primarily from eastern and western religions. But what I can't get across due to lack of ability to express, is the fact the Christ experience came first and was devastating to my whole life's precepts. Contrary to others thinking, it did not supply all knowledge or all power, as their concept leads them to believe. Apparently you have an open mind and can listen to others in order to grow spiritually. My big problem with the revelation was that there was so much truth in the bible; yet parts that just made no sense and conflicted with my own experiences. That is what sent me diligently, almost to point of obsession, to learn the truth. I just had to learn more. One of the truest statements in the scripture is the fact that if we seek we will find. Knock and it shall be opened. Where shall it be opened but in your own heart or being to reveal the Christ in you. Here is what I know from the experience. I know there is but one living, true, and Infinite God, creating and sustaining all things visible and invisible. I know that the unity of God's creation manifests in three expressions: in the Macrocosm as LIGHT, LIFE, and LOVE; In the Microcosm as SOUL, ego and body; in the material sciences and arts as thesis, synthesis, and antithesis. All of these are symbolized in the triangle and its own laws. I know that the Divine Wisdom of God, as made manifest by the laws of nature, justifies our faith in the Omnipotence, Goodness, and Love of the God of our existence. I know that when God breathes into man the Breath of Life, man becomes a living soul. The Soul of God, resident within a mortal body, is the perfect essence of the Universal Soul that flows through successive human incarnations. Hence, in all that is real and vital, all mankind is a Brotherhood under the Fatherhood of God. I know the flesh alone may err, and mortal mind may sin; and for each error or sin, flesh and mortal mind must compensate; for Man is born in Soul-Goodness, but in mortal ignorance, and from this ignorance alone must Man be redeemed and saved. I know only this mortal flesh and mortal mind can suffer and experience its own hell. Been there done that in both. I know my soul is the immortal me and cannot suffer or burn. I know it is up to the soul in me to refine this ignorant mortal Sam through mortal mind and not the mind of the man Jesus by unnatural law. I know it takes more refinement of this mortal self to become a true servant of God. Therefore I seek daily to learn and experience the necessary guidance of the "Father" in me to save me from this mortal ignorance. With this knowledge I am able to see the disservice Christianity has done by putting the responsibility of redeeming the mortal mind & body to the utterance of prayers to an unknown God not accessible except thru faith & imagination. Would that it could be so simple but it is not.
