Read the Post article. Let's see: 1). Justice admits they are pissed at msft because msft showed up at the meeting late. MSFT is therefore arrogant. Obviously, since the government knows they are good, right, and on the side of God, they were angered by msft's tardiness. Makes sense to me. 2). Justice is pissed because msft appeared to be "fooling around." I guess msft was, in part, gathering information on justice's thinking, how they formulated their opinions, and how they argue their position. I can't imagine msft would be so arrogant as to expect justice to discuss their rationale. 3). Justice says this bullshi- about msft shipping navigator to oem's "was just one thing we were looking at." Oh. So msft didn't realize they were kidding. I thought msft was the one that was "fooling around?" The justice department!! Those big foolers!! I guarantee that Klein sees his face implanted in the history books already; he has to give it a shot. In his readings about Standard Oil, he probably missed the part about Judge Landis going down in history as a fool for his decision, and focused on the fact that Landis became baseball commissioner. As any decent public servant who gets some headlines knows, the notoriety can lead to bigger and better things. This episode is a disgrace to our country. If they think msft is in a weak position to bargain, perhaps they haven't been following the court decisions over the past several years; mostly wins, with the losses followed by reversals on appeal. Justice is not on firm ground, but they are so ARROGANT that they ask for the world. If the fed raises rates this week, combined with this body blow, the media may have some downward movement in the dow and nasdaq to talk about. It should be interesting.
