Perhaps it is this fact that gives credence to your metaphor more so then the result of breaching. It could be that global financial markets will be disrupted by events other then miscreant banking and monetary policies. I have read, for example, that El Nino has, throughout history, been associated with outbreaks of virile infections. Or perhaps we will finally discover, once and for all, that there is "life out there". Or, (God forbid) that worse of all calamities may come true, and we find out that Elvis really does live.
