Bob, Warm Beck's will turn you into a European. Most Europeans drink their beer at room temperature. In fact, in Germany, with so many US troops, come gasthauses started chilling the beer to cater to American tastes. Old Germans would come in and get a little heater that fits into the stein to take the chill off. Really! And they think the European Economic Community has a chance. Hah! <G> Sorry your Preakness went so bad. I agree that the owner, even if he felt crappy about the handle, should have at least pretended to be more concerned about the patrons. Heck, I would have handed out free admissions and parking stubs to anyone who had to suffer. That doesn't solve the problem, but it does remove some of the sour taste in peoples' mouths. BTW, hasn't Pimlico heard of backup generators for their biggest show? MB
