THE 1997 MAXAM AGM THROUGH MY EYES AND NO ONE ELSES SO MY OWN MEMORY AND INTERPRETATION WILL COME INTO PLAY IN THIS WRITE-UP

To start with, there was a very good reason that there was no press release prior to the AGM. The press release is forthcoming though. The reason is because Dale received the results of the COC at 11:00am PST on the day of the AGM.

I was left with so much information and feelings that there is no way that I could get them out in one post nor will I try. This AGM was very different from that of the IPM AGM that I attended last year. The hype was not there and nor were the crowds. This was very good for my own interest because I had the opportunity to spend a great deal of time talking to the company representatives as well as the project manager from Kilborn. All of which were very happy to answer ANY questions as long as it did not violate proprietary information. I'm sure everyone wants to know what the COC numbers were. They were
Au = 0.0478
Pd = 0.0478
Pt = 0.438
Ir = 0.995
These results were taken from the Hewlett leach and resin method and should be taken as recovery numbers. COC was performed from 5 different pits at a depth of 10 to 12 feet and screened. The tests consisted of three 750# tests.
COC FA was performed on this material and the results came back as 0.0000. They did not know why other than a reasonable guess that something was interfering with the FA so they had the COC continue with the leach method to find out why the concentrate would not FA. They found out why and that is Ir = 0.995. I was referred to a book, Bugsby Fire Assay Book, which reportedly states that Iridium will not allow Gold to be fire assayed. In addition to that, I was told that due to the extremely high concentration of IR in the material that it is very possible that the leach numbers are low for gold as well since the chemistry did not account for such a high concentration of Ir.

Sorry the boss just called and I will have to go for a while. I am still on PST living now in CST so I will be up late and will continue with this later tonight.
