A newsletter that I am a subscriber to "DOW theory Letter" by Richard Russell has the primary trend as positive since about 1991. By the way those are two great references to add to my library gentlemen Edwards and McGee and Yale Hirsh. Thanks a lot.

PS My 14 year old son is starting to beat me too regularly to play for money.

I noted that Primary Trend is mentioned in Chapters III, IV, V, XV, XXXVIII and is defined by the authors as ..a trend which lasts at least one year and shows a rise or decline of at least 20%.

A year, less weekends, fits neatly with the popular 200 day moving average.

good luck with both obligations today
