Cramer dedends his style

Excerpt related to DELL:

Sure, sometimes I get things wrong. I have liked Dell (DELL:Nasdaq), and on Friday Dell went down five. I received a half dozen emails from people saying that I was an idiot and a loser for liking Dell within the 24 hours of Dell's decline. Well, excuse me for liking the greatest performing stock of my lifetime. Now, if I discover that the fundamentals of Dell have declined markedly, instead of believing that the stock retreated because of profit-taking, I will exit Dell. Dell is not a child of mine. Dell is not my home team. Dell is a stock I own because I like the fundamentals; no more than that. Sorry to those who think it is. Sorry to those who want me to stem the decline or turn the stock around. No can do.

It's interesting that repricing is such a negative thing. I see it as a way of keeping the best employees during hard times.

If your company had to choose between keeping the team players that made the company a success, and losing them, which decision would you prefer it to make?

Employees are a very different animal than shareholders. One shareholder is generally no different from another; but key employees are worth spending money to keep. That's why repricings happen.

Cheers,
KenB
