If a company buys back stock at $20 to cover options granted at $20 and the stock goes up to $80 before the options are exercised, it is a lot different than if the company waited until the stock was $80 before buying the stock to cover the option granted at $20. The issue of options is complicated. . . not "the sky is falling."
