I have taught my children not to follow the norm for you will be a statistic and years from now you look back to find you were making all the normal mistakes redundantly. Here are a few things each of my children have been taught: 1.) If you think you cant win then you are right you can't because you will never see a reason to do what you have to win. 2.) Making mistakes is normal just learn from them the difference between a winner and a loser is a winner will adapt ond overcome. 3.) Rely on the one thing you have ... Yourself and the common sense you have. 4.) NEVER follow blindly always have a plan and goals. Set them so you can accomplish them over time and then raise them to the next level but always raise them to challenge yourself more. NEVER reach the Peter principals. 5.) every once in a while take a gamble that will be the best learning experience you will ever get. Now I want my kids to grow up and be independent and rely on the resources they have and learn from those than know what they are doing in an area you know nothing about. If you read my writings you know the kind of man I am and the kind of father. Investing even in a loser is the only way to learn. If you invest in all winners you get cocky and when you do BOOM the market teaches you to be self reliant and do it the right way. Profession gamblers do not got nuts they have great self discipline and are methodical with their gambling. The market should be handled the same way. Learn all you can and NEVER ever be a sheep and believe half of what is on this internet but prove it to yourself. Show me one heck of and unfair advantage and I will over time show you one heck of an investment. Hey my logic and common sense has been wrong before and will be wrong again but it is the only unfair advantage I have in life. GB
