Long-term market trends

On another thread, dale sicher posted a link to a mind-blowing set of graphs showing long-term stock market trends - Harry Rood's "The Big Picture" at cpcug.org.

The site was put together last year; Rood's model predicts a starting bear market in April of this year. Well, that didn't happen, but I stick by my frivolous prediction that it will start tomorrow. (If it doesn't, we should take turns predicting it until somebody is right!)

For a taste, check out the so-called secular bull markets (inflation-corrected DJI average) at cpcug.org. It suggest we are right on target for the beginning of a massive downturn. It should last for sixteen years.

Here's a perspective. How old will you be in 2014?
