I prefer not to quote scripture, as it is one of the favorite

tools of the deceiver
.

Craig I am sorry but I don't understand this statement of yours.

Eph 6:13-17
13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

My Lord Jesus also used it, as an example for us,to stand against the devil himself.

Matt 4:1-23
1 Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.
2 And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred.
3 And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.
4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
5 Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple,
6 And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.
7 Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.
8 Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;
9 And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.
10 Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.
11 Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him.

Craig, the devil hates the word of God and he flees from it in Jesus's name. The deceiver loves to twist and corrupt it, but he hates it in it's pure form.

Sorry I just don't understand what you mean, maybe you can elaborate a bit more. Maybe I have misunderstood you.

Shalom...><>
It is our best defense against satan himself;
Rev 12:11
11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

The word of their testimony is the word of God. Not some wise cracks or intellectual words of man's wisdom. But the word of God.

"I prefer not to quote scripture, as it is one of the favorite tools of the deceiver."

My apologies that I did not make myself clear. I agree that I made a poor choice of words to express my thoughts. Let me try again:

I prefer not to quote scripture, because it is one of the deceivers favorite, powerful, and successful techniques to lead men astray.

I was taking exception to Emile's statement that "For two thousand years Talmudic Judaism has led untold millions of Jewish souls to
their eternal destruction by teaching them rejection of Jesus". This statement seemed blatantly judgmental to me, as well as unscriptural, and hypocritical coming from one who denies the reality of the attempted genocide of the Jewish people at the hands of the German Nazis (with the mute complicity of Christians).

For the record, Emile, I am a disciple of Yeshua HaMoshiach, and follow His example (Torah obedience) as the Holy Spirit guides me. I do not concern myself with the teachings of any Rabbi (other than Yeshua), nor do I place any confidence in the translations of "King James" or "LXX" (the veracity of which I have strong doubts), those translations being highly suspect IMHO.

Shalom,

Craig
