To All,

A friend has asked me what the best real time data feed/trading systems would be and their cost... what would you guys recommend given the collective experience on the thread??

I have no experience in this, as I use the real time quotes provided to me by my broker as well as delayed quotes on SI.

Thanks!!

xoxo,
V.

*AV*--On the surface this does not bode well for UTEK but this is not an arena that UTEK has chosen to play in. UTEK is not a DUV player and is looking, at best, for a mix and match strategy for the non critical device layers.

UTEK is more focused in other areas.

1. MEMS technology where it can dominate that sector as much as it has the thin film and MR head technology for the disk drive sector.
2. The disk drive sector where it owns the market but has to start worrying about the re-fitted ASMLF low end 5X systems that ASMLF will try to penetrate the market with.
3. Ultrabeam systems for the mask makers that may very well be the pre-cursor for the future direct write systems for IC production.
4. Verdant systems for P-GILD where they hope to be a dominant player in 3-5 years.
5. And most importantly, UTEK is trying vigorously to compete in this 0.25u and below technology by way of EUV.

I see UTEK concentrating on its non IC lithographic tools more heavily in order to position itself for the future. I see them as holding their IC wafer production tools stagnant or slightly above water, letting the MEMS, DD, mask making, a little mix and match, etal. businesses cover their finances until these expand further. I also see the Ultrabeam and Verdant systems as new technologies for them to keep afloat.

These things will keep UTEK solvent until they can effectively re-enter the IC business sector with a EUV system or make an acquisition such as ISI to directly compete again in the IC sector of the lithography business. UTEK never made the mix and match transition work and has seen its low end stepper sales fall off as the number of scanner replacements rtrail off. This may be made up as itas systems are aloowed to be exported to developing third world nations or the Far East.
