Diogeron: I admire your patience. You were basically, if lightly, lambasted for bringing up the LOR news about China, et al., when all you did was relay front-line news which significantly involves the subject company of this thread. Totally appropriate in my book (the discussion, not the lambasting <ggg>). While we on this thread tend to be looking waaay into the future, relatively, with our LOR holdings, there is no doubt that this is news to many people and will likely not simply disappear whether we acknowledge it or not. This appears to be politics as usual but it's not happening because we talk about it here; we're talking about it here because it's happening.

With that said, I still expect little influence on the current price of a share of Loral and no result down the road. Let the news run its course, let the politicians make whatever political hay they think they can reap from it; it will all be forgotten in time and we'll be thinking about how we wish we had bought more LOR back in 1998. I also agree with E. Haiken that the publicity will probably be net positive as more people become aware of Loral and what their business is.
